Short textured quiff

Short sides with a little volume pushed up at the front.

Norwood 1–2StraightWavyNot ideal for a thin crown
Why it works with thinning hair
Adds height and volume while you still have most of your hairline. Keep it short: a big quiff exposes receding temples.

What to tell your barber

Short textured quiff, please. Fade or taper on the sides, about 2 inches at the front getting shorter toward the crown, lots of texture.

How to style it

  1. Blow-dry the front up and slightly back for volume.
  2. Finish with matte clay, then break it up with your fingers.

Upkeep
Every 3–4 weeks

A good cut makes thinning less noticeable, but it does not stop it. For that, see finasteride vs minoxidil.
